Outdoor Expo and Gear Swap

Mar 27th, 2011 | By admin | Category: Events

Outdoor Chattanooga will join forces with Rock/Creek and Chattanooga Parent Magazine to host their fifth annual Outdoor Expo and Gear Swap on Sat., Apr. 23, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the east end of Coolidge Park. The event, which is free to the public, will feature 50 plus exhibitors from the southeastern outdoor community, including clubs, conservation organizations, retailers and outfitters.

Chattanooga Parent Magazine will host a special Kids Outdoor Expo, with exhibitors from summer camps and family support organizations, and activities for kids of all ages.

The public will have opportunities to try out canoes, standup paddleboards, electric bicycles, popup campers, and other new outdoor gear. Clubs and outfitters from all over the region will be on hand to inform people about recreation opportunities that are available in the Chattanooga area.

Exhibit spaces are available for outdoor affiliated groups, retailers, and organizations. Gear swappers are encouraged to clean out the garage and haul out those old canoes, backpacks and fishing poles for what is quickly becoming one of the largest gear swap events in the Southeast.

Cost is $25 for a 10’x10’ outdoor exhibit or gear swap space. Proceeds benefit Outdoor Chattanooga programs and activities.
